Monté Signs BR0, Shocking the Esports World
Monte, the quarter-finalists of the BLAST.tv Paris Major, have made an exciting addition to their lineup ahead of the upcoming fall season. Alexander "br0" Bro, the Danish rifler, will step into the team as a direct replacement for Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, who recently joined Falcons.
Br0 joins the Ukrainian organization after spending nearly nine months with Astralis Talent, where he showcased his skills and maintained an impressive 1.09 rating across 234 maps before his departure. Notably, his performance at offline events was even more remarkable, boasting a solid 1.15 rating and contributing to his team's triumphs at the NPF Invitational and the POWER Ligaen Season 23 Finals in June.

With the signing of br0, Monte aims to replicate their impressive performances from the spring season when they reached a career-high No. 10 spot in the world rankings. Their remarkable run in the BLAST.tv Paris Major raised eyebrows and earned them recognition.
Led by Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, Monte achieved a 3-2 record in the Challengers Stage, securing a spot in the prestigious Accor Arena after defeating strong opponents such as FURIA, fnatic and even Natus Vincere. Their journey, unfortunately, came to an end in the quarter-finals against GamerLegion.
Br0's debut in the Monte colors will take place at the IEM Cologne Play-in, scheduled for July 26-28. The team has earned their place in the Big Event prelude due to their impressive standing on the ESL world ranking.
Heading into the fall season, Monte's roster will consist of:
- Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk from Ukraine
- Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko from Ukraine
- Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek from Poland
- Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev from Ukraine
- Alexander "br0" Bro from Denmark
Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov will continue serving as the coach for the Ukrainian squad.
