Valve has undertaken a graphical overhaul in Dota 2. Developers have enhanced contrast, optimized shadows, meticulously detailed particle effects' illumination, and added highlighting to numerous objects. These changes were implemented in an update released on August 31st.

Now you have the opportunity to observe the shadow slowly moving across the sky among the clouds, just like in Plato's allegory of the cave. How did this become possible? Quite simple: the copyrights for Plato's works recently expired. We've introduced into the game other amazing rendering features inspired by ancient thinkers as well, but not directly copied from them.
