For example, Dragon Kreig, known for curating the No Man's Sky translation project, along with another user named Oppenheimer, have announced the start of their work on translating The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Anyone interested can join the project on the Crowdin platform.
In a Steam guide, Oppenheimer explained that he had attempted to translate the game a few years ago but had stopped. He has now returned to the project and completed one of the first important steps—creating fonts for the game that support all Ukrainian letters. Later, Dragon Kreig joined the effort, revitalizing the project by organizing the entire process and moving it to Crowdin.
The game contains 837,000 words of text (including the main game and the "Shivering Isles" expansion). The translators estimate that the project could take about three years to complete. Currently, they have made 3% progress, and some examples, such as translated shop signs and certain dialogues, can already be seen. To view these, you can download the necessary files from Nexus and test them in the game. These files will be updated approximately once a week.
Anyone interested in joining the translation project can apply, but applications are processed manually to prevent "aggressive neighbors" from causing trouble.
