Tekken 8 was officially announced in September 2022 at the PlayStation State of Play event.

Although the release date of the game has not been confirmed, it is planned to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam.

Recently, Bandai Namco held a 36-minute stream showcasing gameplay mechanics such as the Heat, Rage, and Recovery Gauge systems.

The company plans to conduct closed alpha tests of Tekken 8 in various locations around the world to receive feedback on the new systems.

The first closed alpha test took place at the Evo Japan event held from March 31 to April 2. Players had to apply through a special website to participate.

Cross-play mode will be available in Tekken 8, as confirmed by series director Katsuhiro Harada earlier this month.
