Fallout 4 Player Discovers Bizarre Detail: Molerats Have Two Sets of Teeth
A Fallout 4 player has uncovered a peculiar detail about Molerats: they have two sets of teeth. While Fallout 4 is known for its many horrifying details, this discovery about a common hostile creature stands out as particularly bizarre.

The Fallout series has always featured an extensive bestiary, and Fallout 4 is no exception. Classic enemies like Radscorpions, Super Mutants, and Ghouls continue to appear, alongside the Molerats, which are typically among the first enemies players encounter. Standard Molerats pose minimal threat and often serve as practice targets for new players. However, one player has highlighted a strange aspect of Molerats during their attacks.
Reddit user MysteriousPudding175 recently shared an image from their Fallout 4 adventure, focusing on a Molerat. The screenshot shows a Molerat with its mouth wide open, ready to lunge at the player. This attack stance reveals a bizarre design detail: in addition to a prominent set of teeth, a second pair is visible inside its mouth. Given Fallout 4's post-apocalyptic setting, where nuclear radiation has altered many real-world creatures, this secondary set of teeth may help Molerats survive the harsh environment. It could aid in dealing damage to threats or accessing more food sources.

In addition to this odd detail, the Molerat also has two landmines strapped to it, potentially deadly if it lunges at the player. Similar to Super Mutant Suiciders who wield powerful explosives, this Molerat appears to be a "Molerat Suicider." While Super Mutant Suiciders are commonly encountered in the Boston Commonwealth, the Molerat equivalent is rarer. They are often found in the Kendall Parking Garage, where an NPC attaches landmines to them. According to MysteriousPudding175, this particular Molerat was found at the USAF Olivia station near Sanctuary.
Despite being a staple in the Fallout series, it's unclear how many players have noticed the second set of teeth on Molerats. Given the many terrifying enemies in the game, this detail adds another layer of horror to an otherwise unassuming creature.
