Overwatch 2 Introduces First Mythic Weapon Skin: Bound Demon Reinhardt

The next update for Overwatch 2 will officially introduce the game's first-ever Mythic Weapon Skin to its cosmetic lineup. Overwatch 2 has long allowed players to customize the weapons of various heroes with skins that dramatically alter their appearance, along with additional shine using Competitive Points.

By participating in Overwatch 2's Competitive Play mode, players can earn Competitive Points to spend on Gold and Jade weapons. Now, there's a brand-new type of weapon skin available for purchase once the store refreshes.

Introducing the Bound Demon Reinhardt Mythic Weapon Skin

The Bound Demon Reinhardt Mythic Weapon Skin is now available in Overwatch 2 with the latest update. The base skin costs 50 Mythic Shards and offers three levels of effects, including weapon flourish, elimination effects, and reactive effects, which can be unlocked with additional Mythic Shards. Players can purchase the Mythic Weapon Skin alone or opt for the Reinhardt Mythic Weapon Skin Bundle, which includes the base weapon, 2,000 Overwatch Coins, and 20 Battle Pass Tier skips. Pricing for the bundle is currently unavailable but will be visible in the shop soon.

Reinhardt mains should consider picking up the Bound Demon Reinhardt Mythic Weapon Skin. Although Mythic Shards are valuable, acquiring the Mythic Weapon Skin could be worthwhile if there are no desirable Mythic Skins at the moment. For players who don't use Reinhardt, new Mythic Weapon Skins will be available in future updates.

Future Mythic Weapon Skins in Overwatch 2

Blizzard has not yet revealed the next hero to receive a Mythic Weapon Skin in Overwatch 2 but confirmed that new Mythic Weapon Skins will be added every season. The next Mythic Weapon Skin is expected after the launch of Overwatch 2 Season 12 on August 20. It could be available at the start of the season or later, similar to the release timing of the Bound Demon Reinhardt Mythic Weapon Skin in Season 11.

Details about Overwatch 2 Season 12 are limited. However, it is confirmed that Season 12 will introduce a new Support hero named Juno. More information about Season 12 will be revealed closer to its August 20 start date.
