2 New WOW Maps for PUBG Mobile

In collaboration with climatologist Professor Mark Maslin, PUBG Mobile developers envisioned what the world might look like after 100 years of climate change. This collaboration resulted in the creation of two maps: Ruins of Erangel: Sandstorm and Ruins of Erangel: Exploration, available in the World of Wonder mode.

These maps aim to visualize a future world ravaged by climate change, featuring elements like powerful sandstorms, barren landscapes, dead trees, and rising sea levels.

  • Ruins of Erangel: Sandstorm: Players race across the map to gather medical supplies while avoiding a closing sandstorm. The last player standing wins the match.
  • Ruins of Erangel: Exploration: This map offers a "narrative-driven experience" with a story that emphasizes the harsh realities of climate change.

To access these maps, use the following codes:

  • Ruins of Erangel: Sandstorm: 8532400
  • Ruins of Erangel: Exploration: 8532398

New Themed WOW Items

To further engage players with environmental themes, new items have been added to the World of Wonder mode. These Play for Green-themed items include:

  • Two endangered plants: Giant Baobab Tree and California Redwood
  • A new Classic Blue Zone Device Effect: Sandstorm Zone
  • Water Cube Appearance options: Lava and Polluted Water
  • The Green Game Jam logo

PUBG Mobile's Run for Green Event

PUBG Mobile also launched a Play for Green-themed event within the game’s classic modes. Players' sprint distances in these modes will contribute to server-wide milestones, which will support global projects aimed at protecting vital habitats.

As part of the Run for Green event, players can unlock an interactive area in the game's Home mode. This area is a garden featuring "5 endangered tree and plant species" from the real world, including:

  • Giant Baobab Tree
  • Wollemi Pine
  • Monkey Puzzle Tree
  • Pitcher Plant
  • Corpse Flower

This campaign seeks to raise awareness about environmental issues while offering players engaging in-game content.
