Relive the Arctic Horror: The Thing 2002 Remaster Coming Soon!

Somehow, I missed the announcement of this game! As a kid, I loved rewatching Carpenter's film and playing the game!

The classic 2002 game The Thing is getting an enhanced re-release. This legendary project, a narrative continuation of the 1982 film of the same name, masterfully recreated the original's atmosphere and let players control a squad where any member could turn into a monster at any moment.

Originally released on PC and PlayStation 2, the game has become technically outdated. Now, Nightdive Studios is releasing a remaster of The Thing adapted for modern systems. The updated version will feature full 4K support, along with improved textures, effects, animations, and character models.

The remaster will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The game is set to be released later this year.

I can't wait to dive back into the arctic horror and feel like the legendary MacReady again!
