New Genius Invokation TCG Cards in Genshin Impact Version 5.3: The Debut of Clorinde and Mualani
Genshin Impact has unveiled details about the new Genius Invokation TCG cards arriving in Version 5.3, introducing Clorinde and Mualani as playable characters for the first time. While primarily known as an open-world RPG, Genshin Impact has incorporated several alternative gameplay modes over the years. Among the most notable are the Serenitea Pot and Genius Invokation TCG, the latter of which was added in Version 3.3.
Since its debut, Genius Invokation TCG has undergone numerous changes, though it remains fundamentally a card game that mirrors the combat mechanics of Genshin Impact. Players build teams for the TCG and enhance them with Artifacts, Food, and other buffs. Despite being around since Version 3.3, there are still many characters missing from the game mode. However, Version 5.2 recently expanded the roster with Rosaria and Sigewinne.
The Arrival of Clorinde and Mualani
Version 5.3 will introduce Clorinde and Mualani to Genius Invokation TCG, as showcased in a detailed overview shared by Genshin Impact's official Reddit account. The post included gameplay demonstrations, new action cards, and balance updates for the mode.
Mualani marks the debut of Natlan characters in Genius Invokation TCG. Her skill set focuses on maximizing Normal Attack damage by swapping characters on both sides of the field while her Elemental Skill remains active. Clorinde, on the other hand, specializes in dealing increased damage and self-healing through her Bond of Life mechanic. She accumulates Bond of Life stacks with Normal Attacks, while her Elemental Burst instantly fills the stack gauge.
New Action Cards and Balance Changes
Among the notable additions in Version 5.3 is the Demon Warrior's Feather Mask, an Artifact card that grants the equipped character an Energy Point every time they use a Technique. This card synergizes well with Natlan decks, where Techniques are represented by Saurians. Another new addition is the Support Card People of the Springs, which extends the usage count for player Summons by one, with three charges available. This works particularly well with Mualani’s Elemental Burst, which summons her shark.
Genius Invokation TCG's Growing Popularity
While some players remain indifferent to Genius Invokation TCG, the mode is largely optional. Nevertheless, its growing popularity is evident, with the recent release of a physical version of the card game in China, potentially paving the way for in-person tournaments.
Version 5.3 of Genshin Impact, featuring these new cards and updates, is set to launch on January 1, 2025.
