Measures will be taken against players who gain unauthorized access to the beta version of the game Tekken 8

Several players participating in the closed network test of Tekken 8 were found to be playing the game in an unauthorized manner, resulting in them receiving threats of potential restrictions and bans from Bandai Namco until the official release of the game.

During the past weekend, from July 29th to 30th, the second closed network test of the upcoming fighting game Tekken 8 took place and was available on all platforms. However, since the game was also accessible on PC, some players managed to bypass the software restrictions, allowing them to continue playing the game outside the designated testing period.

Bandai Namco issued a statement on Twitter, stating: "We have noticed that some players gained access to the closed network test of Tekken 8 (CNT) and played the game beyond the closed testing period."

Such actions violate the terms of use and ethical code of Tekken World Tour. It is important to note that illegal downloading or distribution of the game is against the law. Please be aware that any player caught in violation of the rules by accessing CNT without permission may be disqualified and prohibited from participating in the upcoming Tekken World Tour and other official tournaments.

In addition, Bandai Namco expressed gratitude to the legitimate players of Tekken 8 for "cooperating in preserving the fairness and competitiveness of our competitions."

Some fans noted that this could have been a very likely outcome if the closed beta test was exclusive to PC players, and an alternative solution could have been conducting beta tests on gaming consoles as well. However, this would have excluded PC players, leaving those who didn't have access to the beta test at a disadvantage compared to those who were able to participate.

Katsuhiro Harada, the director of Tekken 8, criticized a fan who called the new game "bad," responding with: "I'm sure those profane expressions could be applied to your computer as well."
